The Wendell Phillips Centennial Committee, NFP is committed to:
  • Preserving the oral and written history of Wendell Phillips High School, and maintaining its historical and cultural artifacts.
  • Establishing the Wendell Phillips Alumni Village and Museum to provide a permanent location for alumni activities and display of school artifacts and historical items donated by alumni
  • Developing an Endowment Fund to support students in achieving academic excellence and to help maintain school programs
  • Providing a corps of mentors and tutors to assist students at Wendell Phillips Academy High School and supporting community-based school activities
  • Consolidating all Wendell Phillips High School Alumni and Class Leadership for overall participation and cooperation among Wendell Phillips High School alumni from different years
  • *Wendell Phillips Centennial, NFP, serves as the general liaison between Phillips alumni and school administration. Since its inception in 2004, concomitant with the school’s centennial anniversary, we have worked closely with the administration and staff at Wendell Phillips Academy High School to provide support. We also serve as representatives for all Phillips High School alumni in both public and private forums.

(also referenced as Wendell Phillips High School Centennial Committee) is a not-for-profit organization operating exclusively for charitable and educational purposes in accordance with Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. More specifically, the corporation is organized to provide scholarships, educational support and mentorship for the students at Wendell Phillips Academy High School in Chicago, Illinois. Only authorized membership is permitted to solicit and/or accept donations for the exclusive use of this organization.
